Maya discovered the garden on a moonlit night when she followed a glowing butterfly through her bedroom window. The butterfly, with wings that sparkled like starlight, led her down a path that definitely hadn’t been there during the day.
The garden was unlike anything Maya had ever seen. Flowers changed colors as she walked past, and trees whispered ancient stories in languages only the wind could understand. In the center stood an enormous tree with branches made of crystal and leaves of pure gold.
“Welcome to the Garden of Dreams,” said a voice. Maya turned to find a tall figure with flowing robes made of shadows and stars. “I am the Dream Keeper. Each night, I tend to all the world’s dreams, helping them grow like flowers in this garden.”
The Dream Keeper showed Maya around. There were pools of silver water where good dreams rippled, caves of soft darkness where nightmares were turned into adventures, and clouds that rained different colored lights – each color bringing different kinds of dreams to sleeping children.
“Would you like to help me tonight?” the Dream Keeper asked. Maya nodded eagerly.
Together, they collected dreams like butterflies in glass jars. Happy dreams glowed gold, adventure dreams sparkled red, and peaceful dreams shimmered blue. Maya learned how to mix them together to create perfect dreams for different people.
For her best friend who was nervous about tomorrow’s spelling test, they created a dream of confidence, mixing purple courage with green wisdom. For her little brother who was learning to ride a bike, they blended orange bravery with yellow joy.
As the night grew old, the Dream Keeper taught Maya the most important lesson: “Dreams are like seeds. Plant them carefully, tend them with hope, and they can grow into anything.”
Just before dawn, Maya found herself back in her bed, wondering if it had all been a dream. But on her windowsill sat the glowing butterfly, and in her pocket was a single golden leaf from the crystal tree.
Now, whenever Maya sees the butterfly at her window, she knows it’s time for another adventure in the Garden of Dreams, where she helps the Dream Keeper plant beautiful dreams for children all over the world.
The End
